Week 16 – Wealth

Week 16 – Wealth

Wealth – All goods and resources having value in terms of exchange or use.

When this definition is examined we can truly begin to understand how unique each of us is. I came to the humbling and at the same time empowering realization a while back that of the seven billion plus souls on this earth at this moment EVERYONE knows something I don’t. EVERYONE sees life differently. EVERYONE brings a unique understanding to our existence. And, as Mandino states “I am rare, and there is value in all rarity; therefore, I am valuable.”

The value we have is only manifested by an active exchange of material goods, services and knowledge. When our uniqueness is withheld from the Universe our value and consequently our wealth is nil. We may just as well not have any claim to wealth in that case for it serves no purpose whatsoever.

It is action and exchange that creates the true wealth we each possess. Imagine a Lamborghini sitting in your driveway.

Looks nice, all who drive by admire it. What they don’t know is that it has no engine, no seats, no steering wheel just the shell. What value is it? Where can it take you? The potential for this body will never be realized!

Are you treating this miracle of YOU the same way? You have a steering wheel but where is it aimed? You have the engine but is it just idling? The value only comes from action, exchange or use.

We create our wealth when we use our rare, unique talents. All wealth comes from within through a definiteness of purpose and the action and commitment required to drive ourselves.

Being nature’s greatest miracle is simply being the best we can be at every moment.

This is the Universe’s guarantee to us. Each perfect moment gives us the great life we deserve because that perfect moment gives us a wonderful memory and brilliant vision for our future.

Wealth is the effect, not the cause, of each perfect moment we create for us and the world we live in.

Each of us sees and appreciates everything in our own way.

Wow, I love the comparison. It also made me think about the notion of “wasting a good thing”… like when I buy expensive wine and then feel sad drinking it. It’s made to be had and enjoyed! Just like us and life.

    Thank you Walter! :-)
